2 How the trail is protected
Append only
Entries are written once. There is no edit and no delete, only a correcting entry that points at the original.
Chained
Each entry carries a seal derived from the previous one, so a gap or a rewrite is visible.
Readable by the firm
The firm can export its own trail at any time, which matters if it ever changes system.
Not visible to others
One firm never sees another firm's trail. Isolation is tested, not assumed.
